Label: Alessa Records

ALESSA RECORDS was founded in 2004. After 25 years experience in the music business, president Peter Guschelbauer decided to launch a label of top quality international jazz music.

The idea for the name “Alessa Records” came from the nickname of his small daughter, Alexandra, who was 18 months old at the time of the founding of the label.

Alessa is one of a number of labels owned and operated by SOUNDDESIGN AUSTRIA. Founded in 1988, Sounddesign speicalizes in the recording, marketing and distribution of a well chosen catalog jazz, classical and world music.
