These classics, gems and long-lost rarities were from selected sessions from the beginning of the 1950’s, when musicians first started taking advantage of the revolutionary possibility of extended improvising on longer titles – which is why the series contains many jam sessions and superstars. Booklets contain discographical details, which were often missing from the original LP covers.
