"Here Donato joins with his European friends, Polish trumpeter Piotr Wojtasik and guitarist Michael Felberbaum, along with two Québécois musicians living in France, tenor saxophonist François Théberge and drummer Karl Jannuska. The album consists of nine original pieces composed by members of the quintet, three of which were penned by our outstanding double bass player. An atmosphere of camaraderie and close compatibility obviously filled the Radio-Canada studio during the recording sessions, and it shines through on each and every piece."
