Berklee College-trained and London-based Trevor Watkis frequently plays in New York City, where this album was recorded. His long list of credits includes performances with UK greats Courtney Pine, Jean Toussaint, Gary Crosby, Toni and Cleveland Kofi, as well as the late Billy Higgins, Eddie Henderson and Betty Carter, among many others. Trevor is active as both a composer/arranger and performer on TV and movies, most notably accompanying Natalie Cole and Elvis Costello in the 2004 MGM release "De-Lovely", a portrait of songwriter and composer Cole Porter.
